Yesterday was the official Public Grand Opening for the Oldsmar BMX Supercross track, located at the intersection of Curlew Road and Tampa Road. There will be quite a commotion within the Canal Park Sports Complex this weekend, as the USA BMX North American Supercross Serious has scheduled the Gator Nationals to take place there! Spanning throughout various locations across the US from January to November, it is exciting to have Oldsmar featured on the 2015 National Series schedule. Don’t miss out on the energy driven sporting event’s various class races which begin at 5:00 PM on Friday, 12:00 PM on Saturday, and 8:00 AM on Sunday.
On a lighter note for this weekend’s events, a Talk and Book signing will be taking place at the Oldsmar Public Library on Saturday, October 17that 1:30 PM, followed by light refreshments. Tampa Bay Times enterprise reporter, Ben Montgomery, will be present for a discussion and signing of his New York Times bestseller, Grandma Gatewood’s Walk: The Inspiring Story of the Woman Who Saved the Appalachian Trail.
