If you’ve haven’t begun your spring cleaning yet, there is still time! The city of Oldsmar’s Annual Recycling Day has been rescheduled due to looming inclement weather. So start organizing those closets and drawers now! On Friday, April 26th from 8am to noon local residents and businesses are welcome to bring documents to shred, recyclable and small electronics, as well as medications to the east parking lot of City Hall in downtown Oldsmar.
This is a free event, made possible by local partners of the community. There are a few restrictions to note: document shredding will be limited to a total of five boxes, and no CRT monitors, televisions or three-ring binders will be allowed. Medications in pill or capsule form must be removed from their original bottles and placed in a sealed ziploc bag. It is requested any liquid medication be left in its original container and the cap be taped and sealed completely. The labels should be removed and destroyed.
For a complete list of what to shred, what to recycle, and additional medication details, please visit the City of Oldsmar’s event website: https://www.myoldsmar.com/954/Annual-Recycling-Day.
And remember, Earth Day is Monday, April 22nd! By properly disposing of items that would otherwise take up space in a landfill you are protecting our planet and our future generations! Our planet and city thanks you!
